Job Description:

Main Accountabilities
To harvest inventions and protect, prosecute and defend the IP rights protecting them
To attack the validity of disturbing patent rights of third parties
To make sure that the local BU / division is monitoring 3rd party patents and to take the necessary action against disturbing patents
To counsel and train the local technology management and patent officers in the field of IP law and IP strategy
To support the implementation and execution of ABB�s IP strategy
To closely cooperate with the local patent officers and patent coordinators for the IP asset management
To support IP aspect of M&A transactions
To support IP protection and anti-counterfeiting efforts

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor degree or above
Legal education in the field of IP, preferably qualification before national patent and trademark office
At least 3 years working experience in the field of IP, preferably in power electronics and control technology industry
Integrity
Communication skills: ability to bridge between technical and legal specialists as well as to convince managers
Language skills: English
